Screenshot of presentation cover page. The fifth JPAAWG General Meeting was held on November 7th and 8th in Nagasaki, Japan. For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, DMARC.org was able to deliver a keynote presentation in person. A strong conference program generated excellent attendance, both in-person and online, and the facilities were top notch.

This year’s presentation began with highlights of the “DMARC 2.0” changes being developed in the IETF‘s DMARC Working Group, and work by Microsoft to allow Office 365 tenants to make use of ARC to solve authentication problems with email being received from intermediaries. The middle segment of the presentation focused on the increase in DKIM Replay Attacks, and several technical proposals to deal with them. The final section covers statistics around DMARC and BIMI adoption through the third quarter of 2022.
