M3AAWG Conference in Atlanta to Feature DMARC Training

At the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG) conference in Atlanta on Monday, October 18th, DMARC.org will provide a training session on DMARC and email authentication.

Barry Jones of ACS Technologies will present a representative case of how to use DMARC and email authentication to protect users from relentless phishing attacks and other fraudulent activities. Barry will share lessons learned from his experience in securing a web auction site and implementing a comprehensive customer protection program. Organizations from small business to large enterprise who need to secure the email channel and build – or regain – customer confidence, will benefit from information they can directly apply.

At M3AAWG in Dublin in May, DMARC.org’s Steve Jones gave a tutorial on the technologies of email authentication and ways to successfully implement them. Slides from the session, and other materials about DMARC and email authentication, are available from the dmarc.org website. A similar in-person tutorial is scheduled for the M3AAWG conference in San Francisco on Monday, February 15th, 2016.

To conveniently reach larger audiences and accommodate those who cannot attend conferences, DMARC.org can deliver training sessions online, as well.

Resources for DMARC education and training:

  • DMARC.org offers resources for self-study, webinars, and live training around email authentication and DMARC technologies for organizations seeking to protect their customers and employees from fraudulent email. Unless otherwise indicated these materials are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License, allowing any person or organization to study them or incorporate them into their own training program.
  • In-person presentations outside of conferences can also be arranged when there is sufficient interest.
  • For more technical audiences, DMARC.org is developing a hands-on workshop where participants would implement these technologies in a lab environment, so they can better understand the mechanisms involved and see immediate results.
